Spreading the Message of Environmental Awareness, Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility
The fifth SDG Day Celebration was organized with great enthusiasm by Gujarat Fluoro Chemicals Limited (GFL), considered an important part of the Ghoghamba region, at Ranjitnagar village in Ghoghamba taluka.
The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among employees and villagers about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Company officials, police representatives, Gram Panchayat representatives, students and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests, followed by a warm welcome with bouquets. Throughout the event, emphasis was laid on important issues such as environmental protection, cleanliness, water conservation, healthcare, education and responsible use of natural resources.
Students Present a Play on Environmental Awareness
As part of the SDG Day celebration, students from Ranjitnagar presented a play based on environmental awareness.
Through the play, the students conveyed an effective message about protecting the environment, preventing wastage of water, maintaining cleanliness and using natural resources responsibly. The performance was enthusiastically appreciated by the guests and villagers present at the event.
Emphasis on Public Participation for Sustainable Development
The main objective of the SDG Day celebration was to develop greater understanding and awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals among employees and the local community.
The programme highlighted how sustainable development can be achieved in areas such as environmental protection, healthcare, education, cleanliness and water conservation.
GFL also conveyed its commitment to strengthening its social and environmental contribution at the local level by linking its CSR activities with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Emphasis was also placed on developing a sense of social responsibility among children, youth, employees and villagers and moving towards inclusive development based on the principle of “Leave No One Behind.”
Guests and Villagers Join in Garba Celebrations
The programme also witnessed a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Guests and villagers enthusiastically participated in Garba celebrations.
Everyone joined the traditional Garba to the rhythm of the music, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the event.
SDG Day Celebrated for the Last Five Years
According to the company, Gujarat Fluoro Chemicals has been celebrating SDG Day for the past five years.
The objective of such initiatives is not merely to conduct an awareness programme for one day, but to integrate the principles of sustainable development into the daily lives of employees and members of the local community.

The programme was attended by GFL’s Kalol Chakravarti, Corporate Inox GFL HR Head, Dr. Sunil Bhatt, Ranjitnagar HR Head Kinjal Panchal, CSR Head Jignesh Mori, Rajgadh Police Station PSI R.S. Rathod, Ranjitnagar Sarpanch, Shaileshbhai Patel, Mittalbhai Patel, Mahendrasingh, along with company representatives, students and a large number of villagers.
The SDG Day programme held at Ranjitnagar strengthened the message of environmental awareness and sustainable development through cooperation between industry and the local community.
At the conclusion of the programme, the participants expressed their commitment to protecting the environment, conserving natural resources and adopting a responsible lifestyle.
